This school is owned by the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Jamaica which is run by President, Patrick Allen. The school is being named in honour of Mrs. Hyacinth Chen, the mother of major donor, Michael Lee-Chin, Jamaican/Canadian Billionaire.
The school will be completed in time for the official opening--August 10, 2008.
The school, when completed will hold 800 nursing students and will boost Jamaica's growing nursing shortage.
