[edit] DOB

I discovered when trying to see if there was a FindAGrave.com listing for this person that information differs on the year of birth (specific date apparently unknown). There seems to be an equal distribution for both years that I listed. 1774 was the one on the article when I arrived, and which I found a book reference for. FindAGrave has a headstone photo but his headstone doesn't include dates, just his term in office. Salamurai (talk) 06:00, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

I posted Burton's DOB at OurCampaigns.com using the date at his Congressional Biography [1] and at PoliticalGraveyard.com - 1782. Neither the Raleigh Register nor the Fayetteville Observer gave Burton's age in their obituaries in 1836. Chronicler3 (talk) 14:11, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
