Hussein Sheikholeslam is a member of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He was also the Iranian ambassador to Syria[1].

Sheikholeslam is one of the "students" (militants) who held Americans hostage during the Iran hostage crisis[2].
