In response to notices added (see [1]):

I didn't create this article for advertising purposes, obviously. The Club is an iconic and famous feature of Greater Buenos Aires, especially the social scene of Anglo Argentines and the upper classes and harks back to earlier, wealthier periods of Argentine history. It is the second most important polo venue in Argentina, one of the nations where polo is most played. It gave its name to a city and wider area around it. These things, which I suggest assert notability, are mentioned. Mtiedemann 14:43, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
