Hurricane Hector was located west-southwest of Cabo San Lucas near 19.6N 120.2W at 21:00 UTC. Hector had been moving in a west-northwesterly direction at 7 knots with maximum sustained winds estimated at 65 knots, gusts to 80 knots.
