[edit] Regiment?

While this does qualify as originating in Ohio, it doesn't qualify as a "regiment" or similar cohesive unit, as far as I can tell.Dogface 16:56, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

Agreed, but it seems that the convention among Civil War editors is to include all military formations in the category of regiments, just to have a place for them alongside actual regiments. Sounds like a practice that should cease! Scott Mingus 17:15, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
