The copyright status of the image The actual image is well passed its copyright date, Shah Jahan having died in 1666 - However, this photograph is the property of the Smithsonian institute who allow its use under the understanding of Fair Use providing it is for educational purposes.
General descriptive details The image is from one of many albums issued by the Mughal ruler Shah Jahan. It is of the early Mughal leader, Humayun, sitting beneath a tree in india.
