There is a fair bit in other wiki articles showing that Hugh came to and worked in London in the UK., and that he was either homself a social change campaigner or that he gave succour to those who so campaigned. A good number of what one might call "elegant" ladies associated or linked in some way to Hugh caused great and lasting social change. I've assembled much of this in expanding the stub, but it needs substantial further work.

[edit] HPH's Nationality

The article said "Hugh Price Hughes (1847-1902) was an American Christian theologian in the Methodist tradition.", but West London Mission says "in 1887 an energetic and talented young Welshman, Hugh Price Hughes, was appointed the first Superintendent Minister of the West London Mission."

Logic suggests the WLM site to be correct, so I have edited it from "American" to "Welsh"
