Hugo Felix

Hugo Felix (November 19, 1866 - Aug 24, 1934) was an Austrian-American composer of operettas. He was born in Vienna and produced several famous works such as Husarenblut (1894, Vienna), Rhodope (1900, Berlin) and Mme Sherry (1902, Berlin). Felix later went to the USA where Mme Sherry met with resounding success (1910). He remained in the USA for the remainder of his life, and died in Los Angeles, California aged sixty-seven.
