Hugh de Wells (or Hugh of Wells) was a medieval Bishop of Lincoln.

He was the son of Edward of Wells and brother of Jocelin of Wells, Bishop of Bath.[1] He was keeper of the king's seal.[2] He was a royal clerk in the chancery as well as a canon of Wells before being named Archdeacon of Wells before April 25, 1204. He held prebends in the diocese of Lincoln and diocese of London as well.[3]
He was elected to the see of Lincoln about April 14, 1209 and consecrated on December 20, 1209[4] at Melun. He was in exile in France until he returned to England on July 16, 1213.[2]
He died on February 7, 1235.[4]
