Hugh Shield

Hugh Shield, MP (12 October 1831 – 24 November 1903) was an English politician and a Cambridge educated barrister. He had a distinguished academic career, much of it at Jesus College, Cambridge of which institution he became, towards the end of his life, Senior Bursar.
He was one of the two Members of Parliament for Cambridge, between 1880 and 1885, representing the Liberal Party.
