Hugh Campbell, 6th Earl Cawdor

Hugh John Vaughan Campbell, 6th Earl Cawdor was born on 6 September 1932 and died on 20 June 1993. He was the son of John Duncan Vaughan Campbell, 5th Earl Cawdor and Wilma Mairi Vickers. He married, firstly, Cathryn Hinde, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Hon. Sir William Robert Norris Hinde and Evelyn Muriel Wright, on 19 January 1956. They had five children:
- Lady Emma Clare Campbell (b.15 March 1958)
- Lady Elizabeth Liza Campbell (b.24 September 1959)
- Colin Robert Vaughan Campbell, 7th Earl Cawdor (b.30 June 1962)
- Hon. Frederick William Campbell (b.29 July 1965)
- Lady Laura Jane Campbell (b.December 26th 1966)
He divorced his first wife to marry secondly on 28 December 1979 Angelica Ilona Lazansky von Bukowa (b. 22 February 1939)[1][2], the daughter of Czech aristocratic parents who was raised in Rhodesia. The second Countess is said to be the daughter of Count Prokop Lazansky von Bukowa, or the daughter of this man or a namesake.[3] By the terms of her husband's will, she and not her stepson inherited Cawdor Castle in North Scotland.
