[edit] Merge

I'd suggest that these two articles be merged into just a discussion of the plot, unless/until more biographical information about Hammoud ever comes to light. Better to concentrate our work on improving a single article for readers to view and learn from :) Sherurcij (talk) (Terrorist Wikiproject) 22:36, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

It's a reasonable suggestion, though it looks like the Arabic press is starting to gear up for personal exposés on Hammoud and his family (there's a picture of Hammoud in Canada on Talk:Assem_Hammoud) while western media's focusing on the plot and it's details. It's unclear how quickly we'll be given tactical/operational details of the plot vs. personal details of Hammoud and whether there's any clarity in separating them. I disagree with the merger. It would only clutter the Hudson River bomb plot article. --Falcorian (talk) 05:47, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

I tried a merge today, without actually deleting anything from Hammoud's personal article. But I think all the information is now contained within this article succinctly. Does it look too crowded? I don't personally think so, but welcome opinions Sherurcij (Speaker for the Dead) 00:33, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

  • I'd support a merger. You could follow some of the structure of the similar Miami bomb plot to attack the Sears Tower. Like that case, there's no actual event behind this, more an unfolding of media reports and filings of evidence that quantifies stuff that actually happened. It's very valid information, because it documents the actual imprint on our collective memory. I think spawning off pages for each of the suspects is way too much, unless they are known for something else apart from this incident. Goatchurch 11:58, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
