[edit] Notes
If plugged in using an incorrectly earthed plug (thus possibly affecting only UK devices with a plastic earth-pin), an impedance meter can detect 60v AC and 30v DC on the chassis of the device. This only equates to 6 microamps though, so gives no more than a strong tingle when the metal parts of the top slide are touched.[citation needed]
