The HSV W427 is a new model similar to the HSV GTS but with the LS3 powerplant replaced with the larger 7.0L (427in³) LS7 motor. It produces 370 kW of power @ 6500 rpm and 640 nm of torque @ 5000 rpm. It retains the new self-dampening suspension Magnetic Ride Control. The original concept model was produced in the same colour as the very first HSV model; the VL Commodore SS Group A SV. It is predicted to cost in excess of AU$125,000.[1]
It will start production in mid 2008 & start sales in 3rd quarter of 2008.
