English: en:Memorial against en:War and en:Fascism (1981-1991) by Austrian sculptor en:Alfred Hrdlicka (born en:February 27, en:1928) at Albertinaplatz in en:Vienna's city centre.
Statue of kneeling Jewish Viennese, who were forced by the Nazis to scrub the pavement with brushes. This action was perpertrated by the Nazis in order to humiliate and terrorise the Jewish citizens of Vienna, these events occurred right after the en:Anschluss in 1938. The statue is located at the base the monument at the en:Albertinaplatz. Photo by KF |
