[edit] Hundrað fjóra ok tuttugu

Does this mean 420, as it's written in the article ("Þráinn had killed 420 men") or 500 (hundrað = 120)? Sigo 00:30, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

I would think neither; either 124 or 144. Haukur 01:07, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
I thought 124 (or 144) was hundrað ok tuttugu ok fjórir. I really have to learn Icelandic. Sigo 01:21, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
Well, it depends. That's nominative, this is accusative masculine as it's an answer to a question with a verb which takes accusative (vinna). Haukur 01:24, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
So tuttugu ok fjórir is the same as fjórir ok tuttugu. But shouldn't there be an ok after hundrað? Sigo 17:26, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
