Howard D. Putnam (b. August 21, 1937) is the former CEO of Southwest Airlines and Braniff International Airways and Group VP Marketing United Airlines. He is a motivational and business speaker and author of The Winds of Turbulence: A Ceo's Reflections on Surviving and Thriving on the Cutting Edge of Corporate Crisis.
