Hotel New York is a studio album recorded by the Dutch pop/rock singer Anouk and released on December 3rd 2004 in the Netherlands (See 2004 in music). The album's name can be explained by the fact Anouk wrote all songs featured on this album in a room from Hotel New York in Rotterdam. The album remained for 87 weeks in the Dutch albums chart, resulting into a 3x platinum certification for shipments over 210,000. In Belgium, the album stayed in the top 50 for 72 weeks, also peaking at number one for one week. The first single off the album, "Girl" never topped the Dutch Top 40, reaching number 2 and staying there for 2 weeks. So did "Lost", the second single.
