Ecole Hoteliere de Montreux or (HIM) was one of the first schools in Switzerland to offer hotel management programmes in English and French. Along with EHL (Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne), it is one of the most competitive and distinguished management schools in the world.

Because of the tuition fees, location, and living expenses, many consider Ecole Hoteliere de Montreux as an institute tailor made for the social elite, with international students coming from extremely wealthy or political families. Boasting ties with over 80 countries in their network, HIM help their students to develop the world famous Swiss hospitality skills as well as the latest of American management practices. As a member of the Swiss Education Group (SEG), HIM is 100% Swiss owned and follows all of SEG's standards and policies.

In addition to this international recognition, H.I.M. continuously broadens the scope of its academic programmes by integrating market trends and new technologies through projects done in collaboration with industry partners, applied research and consulting.
