Horsey is a hamlet to the north of Bridgwater in the english county of Somerset.[1] The Hamlet is 1.9 miles north east of the town of Bridgewater and is located near the M5 motorway. The Hamlet is within the civil parish of Bawdrip and the population of the parish is 485 (2001 Census)[2]

Horsey is mentioned in the Domesday Book and formerly had a manor house and chapel but these are no longer in existence.

Horsey is the name of several places in England. The name comes from Anglo-Saxon "hors-eg" and means horse-island.
