Honey, I Love You

Honey, I Love You is a game played with a group of people. It is played at JYF and other Young Quaker events in Britain, amongst other places.

[edit] Rules

All players sit in a circle, usually on chairs. One player stands in the middle, and their chair is removed. Their aim is to obtain a chair from one of the other players, who will then have to stand in the middle of the circle.

To obtain a chair, the player in the middle must approach a player in the circle, and say "Honey, if you love me, you just have to smile". The victim must then reply "Honey, I love you, but I just can't smile." If he or she smiles before completing this statement, then they must take their place in the middle of the circle and the challenger can sit down.

Very few rules restrict how the victim is provoked into smiling. One common rule disallows tickling, but other than that limits are minimal.

Another rule is that you can't touch the person you're trying to provoke to smile. Sometimes this rule does not take effect, but it depends on whether you want to play it this way or not.
