Homeworld (book)

Homeworld is a science-fiction novel written by the cult novelist Harry Harrison in 1980, about a ruthless middle-management corporate shark who becomes dissillusioned by the futuristic world in which he lives. The first part of the 'To The Stars' trilogy, it presents a world similar to the 2006 movie Children of Men, with more than a nod to Orwell's 1984. Some of the concepts are a little dated today, but most of the futuristic description is refreshingly accurate, especially in the hacking/ bugging chapters.
