OK, 76.209.49.240, show me the interview proving his voice is in fine shape. I can hit the notes in help me Rhonda and I'm a baritone. You're disputing Rieley's complaints from 1971, Carlin's statements on Desper from 2006, and there are probably Desper statements confirming this. As far as I'm concerned, it stands. Also, listen to your bootlegs better, that you seem to be listening to: Listen to "Shortnin' Bread" (1974 at the latest) or even a single tracked mix of Break Away. Once again, I point to Carlin: You must provide evidence for your point aside from hearsay and it should be based on sources that know music well. Hell, provide tapes if you need to: But once again, sources is the key word because every source I've come across contradicts you, and my ears contradict you, and many other people's ears contradict you. Personally, I think Wilson sounds just awful in "California" like he is gasping for air, and it sounds definitely sped up to me, and if not, he sounds like he has a horrible cold which he sounded like he had on Surf's Up, not to mention the chipmonk quality of the sound adding more suspicion and the fact you can't hear his vocals as loudly as others: Also, examination of the vocal on "Take good care of your feet" shows that when laying down his vocals, his voice is noticably coarser when slowed down; also, "Good Time" is recorded in a key that's impossible to play on trombones, suggesting, yes, it was sped up 6%.
