In the discussion of the holds (such as their founding and major industries), I have ignored potentially pertinent information from the Dragonlovers Guide to Pern for two reasons. 1. Later-published fiction (particularly Dragonsdawn and First Fall) contradicts more of the Guide than it agrees with, presumably as a result of McCaffrey revising her original plans in order to lend more drama to the narratives. 2. I haven't read it. If others think info should be added from the Guide that doesn't contradict later-published canon, feel free to add it. I would suggest noting the source and that such information's authenticity, if the stories are ever told, is not guaranteed. --Apascover 18:55, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
