The Holy Roman Empire around 1630.
Area controlled by the Holy Roman Empire around 1630 with the visable outlines of modern countries.
Note:The Netherlands are portrayed in lighter shade of red/pink as they were only tangentially a part of the Holy Roman Empire in 1630 after en:Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor issued the en:Pragmatic Sanction of 1549 declaring the Seventeen Provinces to be a separate collective from the Empire. This decision was ratified and made final by the en:Peace of Westphalia in 1648.

Het Heilige Roomse Rijk omstreeks 1630.
Gebied bestuurd door het Heilige Roomse Rijk omstreeks 1630 met de zichtbare grenzen van hedendaagse landen.
Aantekening:Nederland is weergegeven in een lichtere tint rood/roze aangezien zij in 1630 alleen nog maar formeel een deel waren van het Heilige Roomse Rijk nadat keizer Karel V in 1549 de Pragmatische Sanctie had uitgevaardigd, waarmee hij de Zeventien Provinciën een separaat collectief, los van het Rijk, maakte. Dit besluit werd officieel bevestigd met de Vrede van Münster, waar de Nederlanden ook hun formele band met het rijk verloren.
