Holtún is a Mayan historic site located in northern Guatemala^[1] on the road to Yaxhá from Flores^{[citation needed]}. It is off the main paved highway.

Holtún ("Head of stone" or "stone hole") was occupied from 300 to 890 AD.^{[citation needed]}
