Hollywood Covered

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hollywood Covered is a now-defunct magazine published by Pamela Gross. It covered happenings in entertainment from the viewpoint of the "movers and shakers" within the industry and was largely replaced by current monthly Hollywood community magazine "h."[1] The magazine described itself as "the first and only Hollywood community magazine."[1] Hollywood Covered was available in Hollywood, California and throughout the surrounding areas of Los Angeles at no cost to readers.[2]

Hollywood Covered was launched in September of 2006[3] with a party at Falcon (restaurant) on Sunset Boulevard at an event hosted by Carrie Zack Events.[2] The premier issue featured Adam Carolla on the cover.[2]

In January of 2007, Hollywood Covered presented the 2007 Hollywood Prom at Boulevard 3 nightclub.[4] Dennis Haskins was master of ceremonies for the event, at which Angie Cole was crowned "Hollywood Prom Queen."

In Fall of 2007, Hollywood Covered featured Rainn Wilson on its final cover. Although a November 2007 issue was in the works, it was called off after massive mishandling of funds by publisher Pamela Gross. Though an online version of the publication briefly existed, it too fell into financial disrepair and was discontinued in Spring 2008.
