Holly Elizabeth Robinson Peete (born September 18, 1964, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) (known before her marriage as Holly Robinson) is an American actress, singer and author.
Her parents, Dolores and Matt Robinson (the original Gordon on Sesame Street), were both actors who moved to Los Angeles, California when she was ten years old. She was sent to study at Sarah Lawrence College in Yonkers, New York where she majored in psychology and French. Her language skills allowed her to spend a year in Paris, France to study at the Sorbonne.

Holly was classmates with De Jon Watson who became in 2006 the Los Angeles Dodgers the director of player development. Samohi was crawling with future Hollywood celebrities when Watson and Holly Robinson were students. Chad and Rob Lowe and Charlie Sheen — who played on the baseball team — were among her classmates. Holly Robinson-Peete, (who back then was known as just Holly Robinson, was Watson’s French tutor. Future actor Dean Cain also was a vital underclassmen of the Vikings football team on the 1982 CIF team that defeated Long Beach Poly 21-8, along with future NFL tight end for the Los Angeles Rams Damone Johnson and Darren Willis who later attended Arizona State and played in the 1986-87 Rose Bowl against Michigan and USC stars Sam Anno, Keith Davis & Junior Thurman the younger brother of Dennis Thurman who played for the Dallas Cowboys and is also a fellow alumnus of both Samohi & USC. Junior Thurman and Keith Davis who both attended Samohi with Robinson-Peete were both teammates at USC with Rodney Peete in 1986 before Holly married Rodney and his backup quarterback at USC was quarterback Pat O'Hara who like Holly also attended Samohi (1986) and was a sophomore who redshirted in 1986. Peete, who endured a bout with the measles while at USC and almost did not play in Southern Cal's showdown with U.C.L.A. for the Pacific-10 Conference title and Rose Bowl berth. O'Hara, a sophomore, was slated to replace Peete if necessary.

As an actress, Robinson is probably best known for her television roles on the crime series 21 Jump Street from 1987 to 1991, Hangin' with Mr. Cooper from 1992-1997, and in the 1998-2002 comedy series For Your Love.
Robinson most recently starred on the UPN comedy Love, Inc.. The show lasted just one season, and was canceled due to the WB/UPN merger.
Robinson has also had a limited career as a singer and recording artist, including the introductory song to 21 Jump Street. She contributed a variety of songs to the soundtrack of the film Howard the Duck. (She appeared as a musician/singer in a minor role in the film.) She recorded the theme song "We Got Our Love" for the 1988 film Three for the Road.
Robinson and her husband currently co-host a talk show on Oprah & Friends Radio.

Married on 10 June 1995 to Rodney Peete, a former National Football League quarterback. Together they have four children:
- Daughter Ryan & Son Rodney Jr. (twins born October 19, 1997),
- Son Robinson (August 11, 2002), and
- Son Roman (February 25, 2005).
One of their twins, Rodney Jr., has autism. She is working on a children book with her daughter Ryan Elizabeth Peete.
