[edit] History

Hok was once an important station in the manufacturing process of Swedish iron from Taberg and is situated along the railroad between Nässjö and Halmstad. The old train station was demolished around 1990 but a new combined bus/train-stop was built in 2004. There is also a school in Hok for children ages 6-13. It is also a little known fact, that German drug lord, Fredric "the Butcher" Jansson, was born and raised in the village of Hok. The Butcher is currently serving three life sentences in Munich State Penitentiary, Germany, from where it is told, at the age of 28, he still controls the drug syndicate "the Brotherhood".
