[edit] Relevant

I understand that different people see different things as 'relevant'.

However, I believe wiki articles should stick to things which are directly relevant to an article.

The fact that other organizations may or not have come from the same company that someone says this one came from, is really not relevant to this article.

Lets not 'lead' the reader in any particular direction.

If the reader wishes to know the origins and technically unrelated 'sister' companies then they can click on the Mind Dynamics link and that information can easily be found on that article.

  • Please do not remove material backed up by reputable secondary sourced citations. Smee 06:48, 18 April 2007 (UTC).

Smee, that is hardly any sign of good faith for the inclusion. Please PARTICIPATE in a discussion. At least two contributors believe the inclusion is inappropriate. It may be a cited reference but is is inappropriate and irrelevant to this article. Lsi john 14:20, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] LGAT

Please stop attaching LGAT to everything. Other than a very indirect and weak link to other companies, there is nothing in this article which would suggest or permit its inclusion in the LGAT category. Please stop reverting things. Lsi john 22:01, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

  • The material has been sourced to reputable secondary sourced citations. Please stop removing cited material. Smee 06:48, 18 April 2007 (UTC).
Why has the following content been added to the article?:
The Unity Movement lists eight other "personal growth organizations" which grew out of Mind Dynamics, including: Erhard Seminars Training and The Forum, Lifespring, Lifestream, Context Training, PSI Seminars, Personal Dynamics in Switzerland, Life Dynamics in Japan and Hong Kong, Alpha Seminars in Australia, Dimensional Mind Approach, Pathwork, and Actualizations[4].
This is about the Unity Movement, not the Hoffman Institute, so it shouldn't be in this article. Peter Campbell 12:44, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

Smee, sourced and cited does not make it relevant or appropriate. Please stop reverting and start participating in a DISCUSSION where we can reach a compromise and a good article. If you believe it is relevant, then say WHY, don't simply REVERT. The reasons it was removed were given in the edit. Citing that it was SOURCED is hardly reason to re-include inappropriate material. Please use good-faith and work with the other contributors on the TALK pages. Lsi john 14:26, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

  • Stop using CAPS, User:Lsi john. It is not conducive to a discussion. Smee 18:40, 18 April 2007 (UTC).
    • User:Peter Campbell, thank you for your polite points, put in kind language as per WP:CIVIL. That material from the citation may remain out of the article. Smee 18:41, 18 April 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Proposal to removal LGAT category

I think the LGAT category is not appropriate for this article, as the Quadrinity process does not run with large groups and is delivered by trained psychologists. From the LGAT article:

Large Group Awareness Training (or LGAT) is a phrase used to describe commercial trainings of a period of days which include various techniques from group therapy and the human potential movement but are usually run by non-psychologists.

I therefore propose that this category be removed from the article. Please indicate below whether you support or oppose its removal. Peter Campbell 00:04, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

I agree and have removed this several times. My edits are reverted and my requests for discussion are ignored. I am currently in mediation for edit wars exactly like this. If you wish to read or post there you are welcome to: Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2007-04-10 Large Group Awareness Training Lsi john 00:16, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

  • Thank you Peter Campbell, for your polite and WP:CIVIL phrased suggestion for input. I have removed the category. The other information, however, is backed up by reputable citations, and should remain. Smee 05:36, 19 April 2007 (UTC).

An LGAT template has just been added to this article, which I don't think is appropriate. I am removing it pending someone providing a citation that the Hoffman Institute is an LGAT provider. Peter Campbell 12:14, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] More LGAT content - please discuss before including

I have removed the reference below that was added to the article pending discussion on whether it should be included. I think this reference and statement on its own is POV. and needs to be more balanced. Peter Campbell 22:55, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

According to ''The Unity Movement: Its Evolution and Spiritual Teachings'', the Hoffman Quadrinity Process evolved from a form of [[Large Group Awareness Training]] called [[Mind Dynamics]].<ref name="vahle">{{cite book
