The Hobby Quest was established in 2002 and is currently working as an after school enrichment program in over 150 schools, events, birthday parties, workshops and summer camps in NJ, NY, & St. Louis. We currently operate in 5 different branches and employ over 90 professional instructors. Our company provides an innovative educational programs and teaching methods not found anywhere else in the world! Our fun and interactive, hands on courses are dedicated to stimulating the imagination and intellectual capacity of children while offering them tangible, take home results they can remember for a lifetime. Our aviation club: Our unique Aviation Club is a model airplane academy. Every year thousands of students explore the art of flight while putting to use their Intellectual and motor skills, as well as their social and interpersonal skills. We hold over 50 different model airplanes which 60% are original and exclusive The Hobby Quest designs. In addition to building and flying of the airplanes, a.k.a. "the fun stuff", we also focus and integrate many areas of education into our program including: Math (basic and geometry), visual arts, history, technology, physics, aerodynamics, metric system, drafting/plans, architecture, woodworking and much more. The Hobby Quest prides itself on having the best professional and well trained instructors. All of our instructors specialize in the field of aviation. As part of the Hobby Quest, all our staff go through a rigorous, detailed, continually updated training process, The Aviation Program was developed by experts in the field and reviewed by a select set of education professionals. Our materials are hand written for us from the Aviation Education Council and the Federal Aviation Administration. Also, all of our materials are curriculum based under the NJ and National core standards. – more details The Aviation Club programs promote learning in an amicable environment, one that creates an enthusiastic and fun way of teaching and acquiring knowledge. Our students, learn how to create and operate a variety of air models such as remote control planes, free flight planes, rockets, gliders, stunt kites, hot air balloons, etc. Throughout the program students learn how to read and evaluate construction plans, as well as utilize various hobby tools and resources which generate interest among the students. The Hobby Quest is committed to education in the classroom as well as informal after school clubs, home schooling, Scouts, activities, workshops, camps and birthday parties. We at The Hobby Quest believe that while it is important to enhance the mind, it can be done in a fun and intriguing way that develops our students.
