Description

The Submarine STUBBORN being towed by HM Tug BANDIT at Greenock. The battle scarred submarine HMSM STUBBORN had returned home after her recent successful patrol during which she attacked two coastal convoys then survived determined depth charge attacks. Although damaged, she finally eluded her pursuers. During the return voyage, her crew acted as human "balance weights" to maintain the submarine on an even keel when her after hydroplanes were jammed "Hard Adive".
