HMS Cyclops

There have been several Royal Navy vessels named HMS Cyclops after the one-eyed Cyclops of Greek mythology.

  • Cyclops, steam paddle wheel frigate launched July 10, 1839.
  • Cyclops, turret ship launched in 1871
  • Cyclops, launched in 1905 as the merchant ship Indrabarah. Fleet storage ship during First World war then submarine depot ship. Scrapped at Newport July 1947.
