| Description |
An officer aboard the HMAS Melbourne (FFG 05) looks through the ship’s binoculars (big eyes) while on bridge watch in Gulf of Oman, March 21, 2004. The Australian ship was participating in a Multilateral Undersea Warfare (USW) exercise conducted in the U.S. Naval Forces Central Command/ Commander Fifth Fleet area of responsibility. The exercise's objective is to promote Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) interoperability between the US, coalition, and multinational forces operating in the region. Believe the author of this may have been a Frearson, or Frearson Brothers of Norseman, Dundas, Western Australia who had the first newspaper there. Also had newspaper in King Street, Adelaide where other family operated doing maps. Some brothers moved to Norseman 1890's and settled there some 18 years. Septimus Frearson was a Councillor of the Shire of Dundas at the time of proposed recession with newspaper articles related to visit by Premier John Forrest.
