HMAS Tarakan

Two ships of the Royal Australian Navy have been named HMAS Tarakan, after the town of Tarakan in Borneo, site of an attack by the I Australian Corps on May 1, 1945:
- HMAS Tarakan (L-3017), a tank landing ship commissioned in 1946
- HMAS Tarakan (L-129), a heavy landing craft commissioned in 1973
