Usage:

• {{Histinfo}} will suffice.
• {{Histinfo|date=December 2006}} using current month and year. N.B. Adding a date does not affect how the article is categorized. (There are no date-specific categories for articles lacking historical information.)
• {{Histinfo|Specifics|date=December 2006}} where "Specifics" is a brief sentence describing missing historical information. For example:
  {{Histinfo|When and where was this invented? Who contributed to its development? How did it change over time?|date=December 2006}}
