I believe this article is necessary, as the New York Yankees article is too long, and the detailed history should go here. That addresses the unnecessary; the "undiscussed" comment is not by itself reasonable grounds for a Proposed Deletion.Simon12 18:11, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
- I take back my comment above. This article is essentially a duplicate of the history section of the main article, and is not well maintained. I'm not sure what the process should be, but I would support an effort to delete. Simon12 (talk) 05:16, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. The image Image:Casey Stengel Time Cover.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here.
