[edit] India
The article states According to Eusebius' record, Thomas and Bartholomew were assigned to Parthia and India. The Didache (dating from the end of the first century) states, “India and all countries condering it, even to the farthest seas...received the apostolic ordinances from Judas Thomas, who was a guide and ruler in the church which he built.”
I do not find this qoute in the the Didache and there is no sitation.

The result of the debate was PAGE MOVED to History of Eastern Christianity in Asia, which seems to be the best fit for the article's contents generated in the discussion below. -GTBacchus(talk) 05:12, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
History of the Church of the East in Asia → Early history of Christianity in Asia or something else. – Current title refers only to the Assyrian Church of the East (but article seems to refer to Christianity in general) and does not specify the limited time period involved (article is only on the early history). If article text can be edited to address these concerns and narrow the scope of the article, then I will withdraw this request. — AjaxSmack 18:51, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

- Oppose Actually, the article is a subarticle of Assyrian Church of the East and 90% of it deals with that subject. The other 10% should be rewritten anyway; the whole thing's very Edwardian, although I'm not sure which public domain source it's indebted to. A rewrite and merge to Nestorianism may be warranted, but the name is not the problem. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 19:57, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
- History of Assyrian Church of the East would make more sense, though this article bears little relation to Assyrian Church of the East#Early history--Henrygb 01:41, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
- Move to History of Eastern Christianity in Asia. We have an article named Eastern Christianity already, and that's what this article appears to be related to. (Eastern Christianity is all-encompassing, while the Assyrian Church of the East is a branch of it). Apostle Thomas is definitely credited with bringing Christianity to India first, by the various Eastern churches.--Endroit 06:38, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
- How does History of Assyrian Church of the East in Asia sound? I think maybe someone should be bold and move it there. That is, if it deals exclusively with Asia while the regular Assyrian church is outside Asia (which I don't think it is). We could try History of Assyrian Church of the East, as suggested above.
