- In the Colonial period section, you jump around quite a bit. Sort out chronology, and be clear about what sort of rights or activity you are discussing: some is about economy, some is about authority, some is about civic and legal administration.
- Format references as footnotes.
- The section on slaves is good, in that it describes some particular practices of rights-bearing nationals. More context is needed, though.
- Explain why end of Spanish rule was important for Cuban nationals, and tell what it meant (in practical terms) for some to maintain Spanish citizenship.
- More hyperlinks within the text, offering further information on key terms, places, events, and ideas, would be useful.
