I suspect this quote is mistyped, unless Kuhn actually did say something this ungrammatical; however, I do not at the moment have access to the book to which it is attributed:

"I sure as hell wanted to be there, and it was my philosophy students who were working with me, not on philosophy but on history, were nevertheless my more important students"

No. Just double checked -- it's verbatim et literatim. It is the transcript of an interview. (Just glad I referenced fully!) --Nick81 8 December 2005.
