I reverted from "Category:French novels" to "Category:French literature". I agree that a more specific designation is desirable, and the narrative is largely fictional, but not all that isn't true is a novel and this kind of narrative just doesn't belong to the 'novel' genre. It is in fact a legend, or an epic, rewritten as prose. Not the same thing, I think. Andrew Dalby 11:59, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
