Do we need to link this to the Mauretania Tingitana article to clarify the relationship between the two provinces?

Al-Andalus was the whole Iberian Peninsula under Moorish domination, not just the Baetica. --JoseFMartindelPozo 18:28, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Modern day

Hi there. In the lead it currently states:

Baetica was part of Al-Andalus under the Moors in the 8th century and corresponds to modern Andalucia.

For this to be true it should also mention Gibraltar, which is not part of Andalusia. I added this only to find that it has been reverted without any discussion and an edit summary of think of the Wikipedia reader: this is a reader service, not a hobby shop.

I would like to ask Wetman to please assume good faith, I am only here to help out. Thanks. --Gibmetal 77talk 21:26, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
