The three books of the HIS DARK MATERIALS trilogy. This low-resolution composite image is used only on the one article relating to the three publications. There is no prospect of commercial loss. It illustrates, where description is insufficient: (1) the tone, theme and target of the works and (2) the differences between U.S. and international editions.
