Shouldn't Julian (porn actor) be included in this list? Someone who is more Wiki-savvy should add it.

I understand and appreciate the guideline (not policy) against "ghettoizing" people within Wikipedia by race or ethnicity, but I think the category of Hispanic porn stars is appropriate because it represents a significant category within the adult entertainment industry, in which performers are — for better or for worse — typically ghettoized by race or ethnicity. Maintaining this category merely reflects a reality of the porn world; it doesn't represent an effort by Wikipedia editors to ghettoize people. — Malik Shabazz | Talk 22:22, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

But plenty of these people aren't even Hispanic. I've seen people who were Iranian, Jewish, and of other ethnicities categorized under "Hispanic" and even billed as "Hispanic". Joie de Vivre 22:57, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

Some performers are billed as Hispanic even if they're not; we can only include information reported as facts elsewhere. But in cases where Wikipedia categorization is clearly wrong, the solution is to fix the article, not to delete the category, just as you would fix an error in the categorization of any other article. — Malik Shabazz | Talk 23:31, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

It's a bit more than "ghettoization", it's a genre. The same way that some people prefer performers with certain bodily structure, shall we say, some prefer those of a specific ethnicity. --AnonEMouse ^(squeak) 14:07, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
