From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Hippodonk is real. Hunted Nearly to extinction by Spanish conquistadors who were acting upon orders from the king that no creature in the new world should be better endowed then his majesty, the Hippodonk is said to have survived in small numbers in the wilds of South America but holds a firm place in the mythologies of the local peoples.
Though many of these precolumbus societies did not have a formal mode of writing, stories and pictorial accounts have been passed down through the centuries of this majestic creature's deeds and inherent abilities to endow blessings of fortune upon a fortunate few.
Sprung from the loins of the gods, represented by many different deities in the multitude of societies scattered throughout south america, it is said that the Hippodonk's disproportionate reproductive organ is a representation of fertility in all its forms. The most famed blessing of the Hippodonk, it is said, was during the latter years of a great drought that brought most of the great societies to their knees. Near starvation, and on the brink of collapse it was then that the Hippodonk showered the lands with a great golden shower, where from each drop life sprung and peace and prosperity was restored.
Though many scientists agree the last known Hippodonk died of old age in 1874 many still believe that there is a remaining pocket of Hippodonk survivors, though their actual whereabouts is a point of speculation. Today, the legend lives on and many peoples still create an effigeal Hippodonk pinata, hoping that through the metaphorical strife that the beating of the pinata represents will bring about a second golden shower to baptize those in attendance.
