[edit] Numbers before the box headings

Is there any way to get rid of the numbers before the box headings?--Urthogie 08:37, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

Those occur because of two things:
  1. The use of section headers (either == Header == at the beginning of a line or <h2>Header</h2>).
  2. Your preference setting to number the sections. This is control by the My preferences:Misc:Auto-number headings check box—any user with this set (such as myself) will see the numbers in the box headings because the box heading are also section headers.

You can turn them off for you personnally by unchecking the box in your preferences. To remove them for all uses, you need to not use section headers in the title headings. Note that the default for this preference is to not show the numbers, so most users probably don't see them. —Doug Bell talk•contrib 11:05, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
That's default? I was under the impression default was numbers for anon ip's and whatnot. My mistake I guess. Thanks for the help!--Urthogie 11:11, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Featured Sample

We have a featured article space, is there any way to make a featured sample space as well? I've got a big list of samples, so they could be rotated on a fairly regular basis. I just don't know enough about portals to make it happen. --ByeByeBaby 02:50, 9 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Updating and formatting portal

I am going to begin to update and format this portal. I think this is a good idea for a portal, but having a portal requires a lot of work and constant updating. The article (as well as other content) needs to be updated daily. – Heaven's Wrath   Talk  18:07, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
