"Hip Hop Hooray" is the title of a number one hip hop single released by by hip hop group, Naughty By Nature, in 1993. The hit song spent one week at number one on the US R&B chart, and reached number 8 on the US Pop chart. The song contains lyrics boasting the group's love of hip hop and their fascination with good-looking women. The song is considered sensational, and the widely recognized "hey...ho...hey...ho" lyric is among the most revered choruses in all of hip hop history.[citation needed] The track has had limited commercial success in wide release media. A mainstream title featuring the track is a video game soundtrack to the basketball game NBA Live 2000. This song is also featured on DANCE! Online, a multiplayer online casual rhythm game. The music video was directed by Spike Lee. Tony Yayo of G-unit , takes credit for the song's concept.
