The Witnesses

A San Francisco Based melodic hardcore punk band formed in the Late 1970’s. Originally a trio. Dave Dick, Song Writer, Singer and Lead Guitar player With Bill Schwartz Drummer, Dino on Bass guitar back up vocals. The Witnesses Performed at all the punk and underground venues and clubs in the San Francisco, actively participating in what is now known as the San Francisco punk scene of the 1970’s. The early 1980’s The witnesses had now become a four piece band adding a new guitar player, Eric Calhoun, Song writer and singer and a new Bass player, Gino Tianero, back up vocals. In 1984 , Eric Calhoun left the band and was replaced by Laurent Cito Reboul, Song writer, singer , rhythm guitarist. The witnesses would go on to record, tour and play local bay area shows through out the 1980’s and early 1990’s. Their last performance, was in July 2001. Performing a tribute “In memory of Nyna Crawford” , a former friend and member of the San Francisco band “The VKTMS” that had fallen prey to Cancer.
