[edit] Amazon reference

I see Wdfarmer has reverted Alexs letterbox's deletion of Amazon. My own view is that a CD number is appropriate but not the name of a retailer. Regards to all. - Kleinzach 21:09, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

Wdfarmer followed the guidelines for books as per ISBN (WP:ISBN). There exists no policy on DVDs, so I suppose we'll just have to leave it there. --Alexs letterbox 06:02, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
If there is no policy then perhaps we should use common sense? The reader can decide where to buy something. We shouldn't allow advertizing, so I've removed the Amazon link. If Wdfarmer wishes to take up this issue on a policy level then he or she is very welcome to do so. Regards Kleinzach 12:01, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for your advice, Kleinzach. I did some looking, and found quite an informed discussion of the topic of using the ASIN, at user:Shimgray/ASIN. On that basis, I'm going to remove my ASIN and amazon.com references. I'll add a catalogue number if I can find one. Wdfarmer 05:24, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
I'm delighted that is resolved. Obviously it is a very good ideas to give ISBNs and catalogue to help identification of books and recordings. Regards. Kleinzach 20:57, 30 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Date of Birth

In the "Opera" book published by Konemann it says that Behrens was born 1941. Is there any more reliable source?

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Hildegard Behrens1 .jpeg

Image:Hildegard Behrens1 .jpeg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
